Pediatric Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds is held from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM every Tuesday morning.  Grand Rounds are a series of lectures, which present the symptoms, diagnosis, and management of a particular disease in the pediatric population. Fellows are encouraged to attend. Location: MSB 2.103.

Pediatric Fellows Core Lecture Series

These conferences are held from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. The American Board of Pediatrics requires all fellowship programs to provide a core curriculum of scholarly activities. Areas covered during in this conference as included by boards are attached for your review. Fellows are mandated to attend this conference. Location MSB 3.001.

Pediatric Research Conference

This conference is held from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM on the fourth Tuesday of each month from October to June and is organized by Jacqueline T. Hecht, Ph.D., Professor of Pediatrics, Director of the Pediatric Research Center, and Vice-Chair for Research of the Department of Pediatrics.  Guest speakers from within and outside of the Department are invited to present a comprehensive, up-to-date presentation of their research, which is focused on diseases afflicting children. Fellows are encouraged to attend.

Pediatric Laboratory Research Group

This conference is held from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM on the second and third Wednesday of each month and is organized by Joseph L. Alcorn, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pediatrics.  Participants in this conference consist of basic science and translational researchers from various Divisions (Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Neonatology, Pediatric Research Center, and Pulmonary Medicine) within the Department of Pediatrics.  Participants present their research findings in an informal atmosphere for constructive feedback. Fellows are encouraged to attend.
