Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital has been officially designated a Baby-Friendly Hospital!
It’s official! Based on the results of data collected during the rigorous onsite assessment survey and the final review of the External Review Board, Baby-Friendly USA determined that Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital has implemented all of the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and have met the requirement of purchasing breast milk substitutes.
Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital is now one of only two hospitals in Houston and 10 hospitals in Texas with the Baby-Friendly designation. Nationwide, there are a total of 255 active Baby-Friendly hospitals and birth centers. This designation is something to celebrate! Read more
