TMS for Treatment-Resistant Depression

This study aims to enable a better understanding of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) action mechanisms on Treatment Resistant Depression patients.

Patients diagnosed with unipolar depression who have tried at least two medications during current depressive episode can participate in this study. Subjects will undergo a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the brain, an electroencephalogram and half of participants will be randomly assigned to undergo a 20-sessions Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment. Participation in this study lasts 5 weeks.
