Biography

Jessie DiCarlo, MD is an assistant professor in the Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is the child psychiatrist in the PATH program within the Department of Pediatrics, which is a day program that treats children and adolescents with complex illnesses and co-occurring emotional problems. She also works in the TCHATT program which serves to connect K-12 students to care via telemedicine. DiCarlo takes a family-centered, psychotherapy-based approach to psychiatric care.

DiCarlo obtained her medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in 2016. Next, she completed a pediatrics internship and psychiatry residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Finally, she completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is board-certified in general plus child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
