Binge Eating Disorder (BED) Clinic
The Binge Eating Disorder (BED) Clinic provides treatment and support for individuals struggling with binge eating disorder. Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is characterized by recurrent episodes of binge eating accompanied by feelings of a loss of control over one’s eating habits. These episodes make it very difficult to follow a healthy diet and may lead to obesity. BED may even cause mental and emotional health issues, including guilt, shame or distress, as well as anxiety and depression.
Our program, “Self-Help for BED” focuses on the challenges and needs of patients suffering from BED. Self-help has been found to be effective in reducing binge-eating symptoms. In addition, our clinicians will assesses patients for anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions that may complicate BED in order to develop a personalized, comprehensive course of treatment.
