Biography

Alia Warner, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is a clinical psychologist with primary clinical interest in the assessment and intervention for adults with serious mental illness. Dr. Warner also specializes in evidence-based treatments for individuals with serious mental illness, specifically schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders and bipolar disorder. She currently works at the UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC), where she manages and provides psychological services for young adults with serious mental illness within the Early Onset Pilot Program (EOPP). In addition, she provides psychological services to adults in an inpatient setting. She completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Florida State University and completed her pre-doctoral internship training at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. Dr. Warner was also a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center with an emphasis in serious mental illness.
