Glenn Belz, MD, has been an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences since joining in 2012. He completed medical school at the Universidad de Montemorelos in Montemorelos, Mexico and general psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Belz is an experienced psychiatrist in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has worked as an attending physician at UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC) and a consultation liaison psychiatrist at Lyndon B. Jonhson Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center.

Belz currently provides evidence-based care to his patients in a compassionate manner at the Harris Health Squatty Lyons Clinic. His areas of clinical expertise are anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and schizophrenia.
