Biography

John Sneed, M.D. joined the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in 2015 as an assistant professor. He provides inpatient psychiatric services at UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC). In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sneed teaches medical students and psychiatry residents. He also gives lectures to the second year medical students at the McGovern Medical School. Dr. Sneed graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology in 2007. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2011. He went on to complete a General Psychiatry Residency in 2015 and was co-chief resident in his final year of training.
