Biography

Urooj Saeed, M.D. is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and an attending psychiatrist at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital (LBJ). She provides both inpatient consult psychiatry services and outpatient treatment of various psychiatric disorders. Her specific clinical interests include anxiety/OCD, bipolar disorder, depression and schizophrenia. Dr. Saeed earned her medical degree at Spartan Health Science University in St. Lucia, West Indies. She went on to complete general psychiatry residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Since joining the department, Dr. Saeed has been actively involved in the teaching and training of residents and medical students at LBJ.
