Nominations Open for 2020 President's Awards for Leadership
Nominations for the annual UTHealth President's Awards for Leadership for the 2020 calendar year are open now. Since 2006, this award, inspired by the late Michael J. Jimenez, former vice president of Human Resources, has recognized those who consistently demonstrate the qualities of effective leadership.
All employees are invited to nominate deserving colleagues for the President’s Awards for Leadership. Nominations from a group also are welcome. The deadline for submission is end of business Friday, July 16, 2021.
Nominations should describe the nominee’s demonstration of the following leadership traits, and be actively employed with UTHealth:
- Excellent two-way communication skills
- A commitment to enhanced collaboration and productive relationships with faculty and/or staff at all levels of the organization
- Energy and enthusiasm for the work of UTHealth
- Appreciation for the contributions of others
- A commitment to professional development of others
- A consistently positive attitude
- A commitment to ethics and doing the right thing

MMS Pressure Washing
Contractors will be pressure washing the Medical School Building above the Fannin entrance starting Tuesday, June 15, and ending by end of day Tuesday, June 22. The Fannin entrance will be closed and the flood door at the Fannin entrance and flood gate on Ross Sterling will be put in place during this closure. The entrance will be totally inaccessible during this period of time. The Fannin entrance will reopen on Wednesday, June 23.
During this time, please utilize the entrance under the breezeway, the MSB south entrance, or the Webber Plaza entrance.

Business cards can now be ordered through COUPA by administrative personnel in each department, if they have access to the sytem.
Once you log in to COUPA, on the right and side, you will see a list of additional stores:
- Select Absolute Color
- Select either UTH or UTP
- Select your school
- Type the included information
Previews will be available following these steps with an option to then add to cart. Letterheads, envelopes, and notecards are also available for purchase.
