Cusick to Lead Colorectal Surgery
Marianne Cusick, MD, FACS, assistant professor of surgery, has been promoted to the director of the section of colorectal surgery in the Division of Elective General Surgery, Department of Surgery. She will succeed H. Randolph Bailey, MD, FACS who has been leading this large group of colorectal surgeons for nearly 50 years.
“Dr. Cusick is an excellent colorectal surgeon with great supervisory skills,” said Richard Andrassy, MD, chair of the Department of Surgery and executive dean, ad interim. “This position makes her the first female head of such a large colorectal group.”
