Biography

Dr. Bidhan “Biddy” Das is board certified in both Colon and Rectal Surgery as well as General Surgery, and he has been a Software Consultant as well as Private Equity Consultant to the software industry in both Boston and Houston.

Dr. Das graduated from Yale University School of Medicine, followed by surgical residency training at Harvard Medical School.

His clinical interests include Enhanced Recovery after Major Surgery, Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery, Robotic Colorectal Surgery, Rectal Cancer Options, Colon Cancer Options, Screening Colonoscopies, Hemorrhoidal Disease, and the treatment of Fecal Incontinence.

He has a particular interest in the treatment of Women with colon and rectum issues, including Fecal Incontinence, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, and Hemorrhoidal Disease.

Dr. Das also has cultivated a new movement in Houston for Personalized Medicine and Individualized Genetic Screening for both patients with cancer and their families.

His interest in medical education and medical process improvement has resulted in book chapters and publications, with recent national presentations as well as regional presentations. He is also a member in good standing of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and the Harris County Medical Society.
