Biography

Bobbie Rhodes-Clark, PhD D(ABHI) grew up in the small town of Augusta, Arkansas. Dr. Rhodes-Clark earned a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. After graduation, Dr. Rhodes-Clark obtained a M.S. degree in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas. At this time, Dr. Rhodes-Clark was introduced to the world of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics. While employed at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Histocompatibility Laboratory, Dr. Rhodes-Clark fulfilled several roles including, technologist, lead technologist and supervisor. Dr. Rhodes-Clark decided to pursue advanced degrees in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Science at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences while employed as the Supervisor of the HLA Lab. In the Spring of 2013, Dr. Rhodes-Clark obtained a M.S. Degree in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences (Thesis Title: Optimization of Living Donation in Anti-HLA Sensitized Patients Utilizing Paired Kidney Donation & HLA Matchmaker). In December of 2015, Dr. Rhodes-Clark obtained a PhD in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences (Dissertation Title: The Role of Anti-HLA Antibodies in Humoral Rejection). In June 2016, Dr. Rhodes-Clark began a Histocompatibility Director Training Fellowship, in Solid Organ and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences under the mentorship of Dr. Terry O Harville. In July of 2017, Dr. Rhodes-Clark continued her training at Dialysis Clinic, Inc under the mentorship of Dr. Sallyanne Fossey. In September of 2018, Dr. Rhodes-Clark obtained Diplomat board certification with the American Board for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ABHI). In April of 2019, Dr. Rhodes-Clark obtained American Society of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) DIT approval for Solid Organ and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation. In June 2020, Dr. Rhodes-Clark began employment as the Assistant Director of the Histocompatibility and Immune Evaluation Laboratory at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School/Memorial Hermann Hospital.
