Mission

The CME office at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston expects an improvement in the competence of learners who attend CME activities offered at the medical school.

Vision

Our goals are to expand the amount and availability of CME activities within our institution. We want to increase interdepartmental attendance and collaboration for events. We hope to innovate ways in which education can be more personalized and accessible; and where current events, clinical trends, personal practice patient mixes, and predictions will drive the selection of educational topics.

History

Our office has historically been a joint providership between UTMB, Baylor College of Medicine, and McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. As of March 2022 the activities have transitioned to accreditation by the Office of Continuing Medical Education at McGovern Medical School.

We thank UTMB and Baylor College of Medicine for their many years of support and will continue the collaboration to provide outstanding educational events to learners in the Houston community and beyond.
