The National Collaborative on Humanities and Ethics in Dentistry will host a readers’ theater performance of Richard Selzer’s short story, Imelda. Following the performance will be an interdisciplinary panel discussing the moral questions in oral surgery and patient care. This is a free event held via Zoom. The national collaborative is comprised of several institutions, including the McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics at McGovern Medical School and UTHealth Houston, Center for Bioethics and Humanities at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Health Humanities and Bioethics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Eastman Institute for Oral Health at University of Rochester, and the Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics and Health Leadership at Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University Chicago.
