Application Requirements:
All applicants to UTHealth Houston residency and fellowship programs must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a medical degree from an LCME-accredited or AOA-accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
- Possess a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate if the medical degree was earned outside the United States or Canada.
- Successfully complete all institutional onboarding and security background check requirements prior to the start of training.
- Comply with all UTHealth Houston policies and procedures.
International Medical School Graduates:
Residency and fellowship programs may have additional eligibility requirements or program-specific criteria. Applicants are encouraged to contact the individual program directly with any questions.
NOTE: Applications will only be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
