Biography

Dr. Kitkungvan graduated as a Doctor of Medicine with first class honors from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He completed an internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital, MA followed by Cardiology fellowship at the McGovern Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center at in Houston (UTHealth Houston) in 2014. He also had sub-specialty training in Echocardiography at VA West Roxbury/Boston Medical Center and in Cardiovascular MRI at Houston Methodist Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He has pursued academic medicine since 2016 at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

His clinical interests include cardiovascular imaging by Cardiovascular MRI and cardiac PET. His research with mentor Dr. K. Lance Gould started since his fellowship and focuses on myocardial perfusion imaging with cardiac PET. He is also active in cardiovascular MRI research.
