Advancing Aortic Dissection Research: $1.5M Awarded to IMPROVE-AD Clinical Trial

We are excited to announce the new clinical trial, IMPROVE-AD (IMPRoving Outcomes in Vascular DisEase – Aortic Dissection), has been awarded a generous $1.5 million dollars in funding from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

Led by Duke University and spearheaded by our very own Firas Mussa, MD, MS, professor of vascular surgery, this ambitious research aims to revolutionize outcomes for patients with aortic dissection. Dr. Mussa serves as the esteemed principal investigator, bringing his expertise and dedication to the forefront of this crucial study.

This achievement represents a collaborative effort between our institution and Duke University, and we are honored to have Dr. Mussa as the face of this transformative endeavor.
