We are proud to announce that Memorial Hermann-TMC has just received a three-star ranking by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS)/American College of Cardiology (ACC) Transcatheter Valve Therapy Registry (TVT-R).
The TVT-R star rating system is one of the most sophisticated and highly regarded overall measures of quality in healthcare, rating the benchmarked outcomes of all Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) programs in the United States. The star rating is calculated using a combination of quality measures for TAVR procedures performed by an STS/ACC TVT Registry participant.
Remarkably, this distinction is awarded to fewer than 7% of hospitals across the nation, with Memorial Hermann being the sole hospital in the State of Texas to earn the prestigious three-star accolade.
The implications of this achievement are profound. The three-star ranking signifies exceptional quality, safety, and outcomes, reflecting the program’s meticulous attention to detail, advanced techniques, and exceptional patient outcomes.
This achievement’s impact on patient lives cannot be overstated. A three-star ranking demonstrates our consistent, exemplary patient outcomes that surpass industry standards, translating into enhanced patient safety, improved quality of life, and ultimately, saved lives. Patients and their families can have confidence that they are entrusting their cardiovascular health to a program recognized for its unwavering commitment to excellence.
