Get Ready for the Houston Half Health Fair: Cardio and Vein Screenings, and More

We are excited to announce that our Heart & Vascular team will be joining our colleagues at the upcoming Houston Half event, taking place from Oct. 27th to 29th, 2023.

As part of the Health Fair and Packet Pick-up event on Oct. 27th and 28th, we’ll have a dedicated Heart & Vascular booth staffed by faculty and staff in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, heart failure and transplantation, and cardiovascular medicine. At the booth, we’ll offer a range of services including carotid artery screenings, electrocardiogram testing, vein screenings, and more.

We invite you to join us as a runner, walker, or even as a spectator on the Oct. 29th race day where many of our faculty and staff will run or walk the race. Marwan Jumean, MD, associate professor, will also be present at the halfway point of the race, serving as the official cardiologist for the event.

This exciting opportunity not only promotes a healthy and active lifestyle, but also showcases our commitment to cardiovascular health and the well-being of our community.
