The UTHealth Master of Science in Anesthesia Program recently hosted its first Rising Stars Dinner at III in the TMC Commons, honoring 17 outstanding students selected as this year’s Rising Stars. The evening began with a welcome from Dr. Naveen Vanga, followed by an inspirational address from department chair Dr. Holger Eltzschig. Dr. Artime recognized the honorees for their dedication and achievements, highlighting the significance of this recognition amongst the department members.
Being named a Rising Star is more than an accolade – it represents a commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service. Recipients are chosen for their exceptional performance in the UTHealth Houston Master of Science in Anesthesia Program and demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a passion for advancing patient care. The Rising Stars Program not only celebrates these students’ accomplishments but also invests in their future: honorees receive scholarship support and are offered opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, and career advancement within UTHealth Houston.
The dinner ceremony was a testament to the collaborative spirit and high standards of the UTHealth Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. Congratulations to all 17 Rising Stars for their remarkable achievements and for setting a shining example for future cohorts!
