UTHealth Houston MSA Program Welcomes New Senior Program Manager, Grace Cavazos

The UTHealth Houston Master of Science in Anesthesiology (MSA) Program is pleased to welcome Grace (Grizelda) Cavazos as our new Senior Program Manager.

Grace is a seasoned professional in graduate medical education, bringing more than 15 years of experience in program administration, accreditation, and regulatory affairs. She has held leadership roles at UTHealth Houston, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Methodist Hospital, and Baylor College of Medicine–Texas Children’s Hospital. Most recently, she served as the Institutional ACGME Coordinator at UTHealth Houston. Grace earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

In her new role, Grace will oversee the administrative functions of the MSA Program and supervise the program’s administrative staff. She will work closely with Charlie Phung, CAA, Program Director, to continue building and operationalizing this growing program. Reporting to Grace are Valerie Aragon (Education Programs Coordinator II), Monique Henning (Simulation Technician), and Salma Chavira (Administrative Assistant).

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Grace is a proud mother of two high school students. She enjoys cheering on her son at football games, supporting her daughter at cheerleading competitions, and spending quality time with her family. In her free time, she also enjoys reading.
