Bone Health Laboratory

Introduction

Dr. Catherine Ambrose’s laboratory is focused on Bone Health.  She specializes in determining the effect of genetic conditions, diseases, drugs, and aging on bone strength and elasticity.  She has developed multiple technologies for assessing bone properties using traditional and novel methods.  She has evaluated orthopaedic implant materials and assessed their biocompatibility properties.  In addition, she has developed techniques for preventing, diagnosing, and treating musculoskeletal infections.
