Hip Preservation Program
Introduction
Dr. Alfred Mansour research focuses on the field of adolescent and young adult hip preservation and return to sports after periacetabular osteotomy, perioperative pain control after periacetabular osteotomy, and 3D computer modeling to assist in optimizing periacetabular osteotomies. Another focus of his research has been in knee deformity correction as part of complex knee preservation in the young active patient in collaboration with Dr. Walt Lowe. They have examined kinematics after high tibial osteotomy and slope reducing high tibial osteotomy, and are also evaluating the impact of limb alignment in patella tracking.
