Orthopedic Trauma and Fracture Care
The Orthopedic Trauma Service at The University of Texas Health Science Center provides treatment for the the full spectrum of orthopedic trauma. Our fellowship-trained traumatologists specialize in the treatment of a wide variety of common and exclusive procedures for traumatic orthopedic events and injuries.
The elite orthopedic trauma team at UT serves the community twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, by providing the highest quality of fracture care. In collaboration with Memorial Hermann-TMC and Memorial Hermann Red Duke Trauma Institute, the Trauma team includes surgeons and physicians who specialize in orthopedic fracture care, polytrauma. and treatment of the multiply injured patient. Our multidisciplinary team of orthopedic trauma surgeons is supported by our physician assistants, residents, and fellows. Through this focus on education of future orthopedic trauma surgeons, commitment to clinical excellence, and innovative research, trauma surgeons at UT place their focus on the immediate treatment and full recovery of each patient.
The Memorial Hermann Red Duke Trauma Institute is designated a Level 1 Trauma Center for both adults and children and features a world-class team of surgeons, researchers, and educators utilizing the latest treatments and technologies to bring comprehensive, life-saving services to residents of the Gulf Coast region. In conjunction with Life Flight, the only hospital-based ambulance serving Houston and the surrounding communities, and the Memorial Hermann Red Duke Trauma Institute, our orthopedic trauma surgeons are in the position to offer the highest-level of orthopedic trauma care in Houston and the surrounding areas.
