Biography
Dr. Navneet Narula is Harvey S. Rosenberg endowed Chair and Professor of Pathology at University of Texas Health at Houston. Before joining UT Health, she was Professor of Pathology at major academic institutions including New York University Langone Health, Weil Cornell Medicine and University of California-Irvine. She completed her residency training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School and specializes in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Pathology. She has contributed to over 180 publications in peer reviewed journals, as also to book chapters pertaining to basic science and translational research projects in cardiovascular diseases, lung cancer and organ transplantation. Her recent research focus has included understanding of the pathogenesis of calcified aortic valve disease which affects 10 million people globally and pathology of peripheral artery disease affecting more than 100 million.
