Our Transfusion Medicine Service at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center (MHH-TMC) and Lyndon B. Our team oversees blood bank operation and provides essential transfusion services, ensuring that all blood products are available and used appropriately for patients in need. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of blood safety and blood product administration. We provide rapid transfusion support to all hospital services, and conduct consultations for patients requiring specialized blood products or experiencing transfusion reactions.
Furthermore, we offer a full spectrum of advanced apheresis services for both inpatient and outpatient settings. These services are critical for treating various hematologic and immunologic disorders, providing additional therapeutic options which can significantly improve patient outcomes. Our state-of-the-art facilities and experienced staff ensure that these procedures are performed with the highest standards of care and safety.
In addition to our standard transfusion services, MHH-TMC features an innovative Hemotherapy Service led by Dr. Hlaing Tint. This specialized service provides expert consultation on the management of bleeding patients, both intraoperatively and during their hospital stay. By working closely with surgical teams and other healthcare providers, our Hemotherapy Service ensures that patients receive optimal care tailored to their specific needs.
