UTPath is a leading CLIA-and CAP-accredited Outreach Pathology Laboratory affiliated with the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. Our laboratory offers a comprehensive range of services, including Histology, Electron Microscopy, Mycology, Infectious Diseases, Cytology, and Molecular testing, all conducted with precision and expertise.

We excel in processing a variety of samples, from fluids to tissues, with a particular focus on complex cases such as kidney, heart, and lung biopsies. Our advanced Electron Microscopy techniques ensure detailed analysis when required. In Cytology, we provide thorough evaluations of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, as well as fine needle aspirations.

Our Molecular laboratory is at the forefront of diagnostic testing, playing a vital role in COVID-19 detection and Women’s health diagnostics. Our Molecular Oncology lab is equipped with cutting-edge Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology, enabling precise analysis for specific tumor types. Each year, we process over 260,000 tests, reflecting our unwavering commitment to timely and accurate diagnostic solutions.
