Services Offered:
- Specimen Processing: Resin-embedded specimens are semi-thin sectioned and stained with toluidine blue for preliminary light microscopy evaluation.
- Ultra-Thin Sectioning: After selecting an appropriate block, ultra-thin sections are taken and screened for diagnostic interpretation.
- Nerve Biopsy Analysis: Nerve biopsy specimens submitted for Electron Microscopy include nerve fiber teasing preparations.
- Medical Kidney Biopsies: Detailed ultrastructural evaluation of renal tissue to assist in diagnosing various kidney conditions.
- Heart Biopsies: Comprehensive ultrastructural analysis of heart tissue for the diagnosis of cardiac conditions.

Two JEOL-1400 Flash Electron Microscopes equipped with Gatan-1809 Digital Imaging Systems, allowing our laboratory to digitally acquire high-resolution images of patient biopsy cell structures.
