Crystalloid Liberal Or Vasopressors Early Resuscitation In Sepsis

Project Summary

To determine the impact of a restrictive fluids strategy (vasopressors first followed by rescue fluids) as compared to a liberal fluid strategy (fluids first followed by rescue vasopressors) on 90-day in-hospital mortality in patients with sepsis-induced hypotension.

Population:

Adult septic and hypotensive patients who are seeking care in the emergency department.

Outcomes:

Measure patient-centered outcomes caused by markedly different initial resuscitation strategies.

Enrollment:

Began September 2018, 25 patients enrolled as of December 2019
