Rapid Saliva Test for Diagnosis of Neuro-Cognitive Disorder due to Traumatic Brain Injury

Project Summary:

Evaluates the effectiveness of molecular biomarkers in saliva to diagnose Neuro-Cognitive Disorders due to Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI).

Population:

ED patients aged 18-70 with traumatic brain injuries

Outcomes:

Developing a commercial test for saliva diagnostic of Neuro-Cognitive Disorders that will allow physicians to detect mild Traumatic Brain Injuries, making early detection possible and improving TBI outcomes.
