Annual McGovern Medical School Research Retreat

Registration is now open for the McGovern Medical School Research Retreat. Join us on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Sarofim Research Building, Institute of Molecular Medicine, for the Annual Medical School Research Retreat sponsored by the Research Committee. All faculty, graduate students, and fellows are invited to attend. This event will include two breakthrough discovery symposia designed to showcase the talent and of our junior and senior faculty whose work is worthy of recognition for its innovation and significance. In addition, there will be a Graduate Student Education Committee sponsored poster competition and a Postdoctoral Fellow symposium designed to highlight the work of our graduate and post-graduate trainees. Julianne Holt-Lunstad, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Brigham Young University, will deliver the Ernst Knobil Distinguished Lecture and keynote address. Dr. Holt-Lunstad Dr. Holt-Lunstad is an international scientific expert whose research focuses on effective strategies to mitigate risk and promote protection associated with social isolation. The purpose of the retreat is to inform and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the research conducted on our campus and an excellent way to interact with your colleagues and peers.
