Cheves Smythe Distinguished Lecture: George Kuchel, MD

Join us for the Cheves Smythe Distinguished Lecture on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in MSB 3.001 featuring Dr. George Kuchel, MD of UConn Health. Throughout his career, Dr. Kuchel has focused on efforts to better understand the biology and physiology of aging in the context of inter-individual heterogeneity involving host defense, mobility, cognition and bladder control, with the goal of discovering and testing interventions designed to enhance function and independence in older adults. He and colleagues have conceptualized this approach as Precision Gerontology. He credits the success of his trainees and the collective accomplishments in the UConn Center on Aging among his greatest accomplishments.
