PAC Advisory Group (UT AG)

  • Who are we?
    • The Advisory Group (AG) is subset of the UT Program Administrators Council (PAC) and was developed to support and lead professional and educational development in the areas of program management, accreditation, leadership strategies, and best practices within GME.
  • What are our goals?
    • The Advisory Group is organized in a divisional structure and encompasses a select group of Program Administrators of all levels in Graduate Medical Education (GME). Each member is divided into subcommittees that include a broad scope of expertise to provide a well-rounded curriculum for all GME administrators. These focus areas include the following:
      1. Marketing and Communications:
        • Responsible for providing GME Administrators with educational resources related to Marketing and Communication practices, as well as the promotion of ongoing GME initiatives including UTPAC Training Sessions and GME Administrator Grand Rounds.
      2. Wellness Initiatives:
        • Responsible for providing wellness support to GME Administrators such as trainings, informational resources, and/or events in promotion of work-life balance.
      3. Mentoring and Best Practices:
        • Responsible for providing mentorship opportunities, educational development, and guidance in GME best practices to all GME Administrators.
      4. Professional Development:
        • Responsible for providing tools and training resources to aid Program Administrators in personal and professional development.
  • What do we do?
    • The advisory group in conjunction with the GME office will streamline educational and leadership opportunities to the PAC to promote life-long learning and development. Additional responsibilities include:
      • Compose all content related to PAC meetings, trainings, and/or events.
      • Exchange best practices related to GME content as well as non-GME related content
      • Facilitate the accessibility of educational resources for all PAC Members
      • Create leadership opportunities for career advancement while highlighting areas of expertise
