Pancreatic cystic lesions are frequently detected on abdominal imaging. Mucinous pancreatic cystic lesions carries risk for malignancy and needs further work up. Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is frequently used diagnostic test in work up of pancreatic cyst. EUS allows fine needle aspiration and cyst fluid analysis to further determine the nature and malignant potential of the cyst.
Interventional Gastroenterology faculty recently participated in multi-center international study evaluating inter observer variability of “string sign” to diagnosed mucinous pancreatic cysts.
