iGUT faculty are actively involved in Gastrointestinal and Pancreaticobiliary Diseases research. In collaboration with Bailey-Lundberg Lab, we are studying regulatory mechanisms in pancreatic diseases from inflammation to cancer to gain a better understanding of the processes regulating early neoplasia. We have an active bio-bank program for pancreatic diseases such as  acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, and pancreatic cancer.

In addition, iGUT faculty are actively involved in various clinical trials in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy. We currently have multiple active clinical trials focusing on GERD, Barrett’s Esophagus, pancreatic cysts, pancreatic cancer, colon polyps, EUS, ERCP, ergonomics, reprocessing and artificial intelligence in endoscopy.
