Nagayama Lab Jobs
Postdoc opportunity in Nagayama Lab
A postdoctoral position is available to study neuronal and network dynamics in the olfactory system, using a combination of electrophysiology, multiphoton microscopy, and neuroanatomy. Our research aims to characterize the structural and functional properties of distinct types of neurons in the mouse olfactory bulb and higher brain centers, to determine how odor information is processed in cell type specific manner, and to characterize the behavior of neuronal circuits. Current projects focus on spatial and temporal dynamics of neuronal activity in the intra- and inter-glomerular modules.
Candidates should hold a PhD, MD or equivalent degree. While experience of study in olfactory research is preferred, we also encourage applications from candidates who have a strong background in neurophysiology or molecular biology. To apply, please send a CV, a short description of interests and relevant expertise, and the names and contact details of three academic referees to shin.nagayama[at]uth.tmc.edu.
