Dr. Payam Zandiyeh is an associate professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Dr. Zandiyeh is directing the Biomotion Laboratory for preclinical and clinical research advancing 3D imaging, in vivo dynamic assessment of joint function, orthopedic biomechanics, and musculoskeletal modeling. This lab is focused on three main topics:
Dr. Zandiyeh received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran. He completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Sharif University of Technology. He then completed his Ph.D. and post-doctoral fellowship in Mechanical Engineering at the Human Performance Lab and McCaig Institute of Bone and Health at the University of Calgary in Canada.
Dr. Zandiyeh is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Orthopaedic Research Society.
