William H. Harvin, MD

Dr. Harvin is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Harvin specializes in Orthopedic Trauma with an emphasis in multi-ligament knee injuries and knee preservation, including limb realignment as well as meniscus and cartilage transplantation.
Dr. Harvin received his undergraduate degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He then attended medical school at McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas, where he also completed his residency. He went on to complete an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at The University of Missouri, where he trained with Dr. James Stannard, a renowned expert in multi-ligament knee reconstruction and preservation. Dr. Harvin is a native Houstonian with deep family ties to the community and a graduate of The Kinkaid School. Dr. Harvin currently provides coverage for Rice University, where as a student, he was an all-conference lineman.
Dr. Harvin is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a candidate for membership in the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
