Biography

Dr. Alisina Shahi is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He is an experienced orthopedic surgeon with a focus on adult joint replacement, particularly hip and knee surgery.

Dr. Shahi  attended medical school at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran/Iran. Dr. Shahi went on to complete his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Cooper Bone and Joint Institute, Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ and his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction in our department here at UTHealth Houston.

As a surgeon-scientist, Dr. Shahi’s research and practice incorporate the most up-to-date techniques and protocols, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. He is dedicated to advancing the field of orthopedic surgery through rigorous research and clinical excellence.

Dr. Shahi performs state-of-the-art robotic arthroplasty as well as manual techniques, offering his patients the best options tailored to their specific needs. His expertise ensures precise and effective outcomes, enhancing recovery and overall patient satisfaction.

Dr. Shahi has received multiple awards for his contributions to orthopedic surgery and has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has also authored multiple book chapters on various topics in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Shahi has presented his research at major orthopedic conferences worldwide, further establishing his presence in the global medical community.
