Biography
Dr. Brant Lipscomb is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute at The Woodlands.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr Lipscomb specializes in Sports Medicine with an emphasis on ACL repairs and other knee injuries, as well as shoulder injuries. He is the team physician for The Woodlands High School.
Dr. Lipscomb received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He remained at Vanderbilt to attend medical school and through his internship and residency. He then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Surgery of the Knee at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Lipscomb is active in several professional organizations including the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Texas Society of Sports Medicine, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
