Biography

Dr. Laura Torres-Barré is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Torres-Barré specializes in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Torres-Barré received her undergraduate degree from Houston Baptist University. She attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she went on to complete a General Surgery internship and an Orthopedic Surgery residency.

Dr. Torres-Barré is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Orthopedic Women’s Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Texas Orthopedic Association.
