Medicare

It is important for you to understand that Medicare does not cover everything and it does not pay the total cost for most services or supplies that are covered. You should talk to your doctor to be sure you are getting the services and supplies that best meet your health care needs. For more information, visit UT Physicians.

Additional Information:

To ensure your claims are submitted properly to your medical insurance plan(s):

  • Check with your insurance carrier prior to your scheduled appointment to verify the physician is a preferred provider with your insurance plan.
  • If the physician is a not preferred provider with your insurance plan, you may be required to pay the physician’s charges in full at the time of your visit.
  • Take a copy of your valid medical insurance card to your doctor’s appointment.
  • Notify the office staff of additional medical insurance plans you may have and have copies of those medical insurance cards available for the office staff.
  • Notify the office staff of any change in your address.

Prior to your appointment, the office staff will verify your insurance. At the time of your appointment, the office staff will collect applicable co-payments, co-insurance and deductible amounts.

You can expect a bill from UT Physicians, if you have a financial obligation after your insurance has paid your claim.
