The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at McGovern Medical School UTHealth is dedicated to providing outstanding anatomic pathology services. Our team of board-certified pathologists brings a wealth of expertise, with advanced sub-specialty training and certifications in areas such as cytopathology, neuropathology, pediatric pathology, and more. Our services are primarily offered at two renowned institutions: Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center (MHH-TMC) and Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital (LBJ). At MHH-TMC, a leading teaching hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, complex surgical pathology, and cytology evaluations. The hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities and diverse patient population provide our pathologists with an extensive variety of cases, enhancing their diagnostic acumen and supporting cutting-edge research.

LBJ Hospital, a full-service general hospital operated by Harris Health, further expands our services. In addition to our in-hospital services, we proudly operate UTPath, our outreach laboratory service.
