Our Pediatric Pathology Service based in Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center (MHH-TMC) is dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostic services for a wide range of pediatric conditions. Led by Dr. Denisse Leza Rincon, our team of board-certified pediatric pathologists is committed to delivering high-quality, precise, and timely diagnoses for our youngest patients.
We specialize in both malignant and benign pediatric pathology, ensuring that children receive the most accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Our service includes a high-volume pediatric gastrointestinal (GI) pathology program, which addresses a wide array of GI disorders in children. Utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques, we provide detailed reports which are critical for effective management and treatment.
Our expertise extends to perinatal pathology, where we handle cases from routine and high-risk pregnancies. This includes comprehensive evaluations of placental pathology, fetal autopsies, and other perinatal pathologies. Our goal is to provide critical insights that can aid in understanding pregnancy complications and improving outcomes for both mothers and infants.
In addition to our diagnostic services, we offer a dedicated pediatric autopsy service at both MHH-TMC and Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital (LBJ). These autopsies provide valuable information to families and healthcare providers, helping to understand the causes of unexpected deaths and contributing to medical knowledge that can prevent future occurrences.
