Pulmonary and Cardiovascular Pathology
Our Pulmonary and Cardiovascular Pathology service offers comprehensive diagnostic expertise for a wide range of lung and heart conditions for patients at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center (MHH-TMC). Under the leadership of Dr. Navneet Narula, we provide specialized care through a high-volume service which includes a variety of complex lung pathologies and heart conditions in both native and transplant organs. We extend our service to cardiac biopsies through UTPath, serving clients throughout the greater Houston area.
Our expert pathologists work diligently to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses, which are critical for effective management and treatment. Our team collaborates closely with cardiologists, pulmonologists, transplant and thoracic surgeons, oncologists and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and optimal patient care. By delivering clear and concise reports, we enable referring physicians to make informed decisions and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
We also provide a robust consultative service, including regular consultations for the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences and other outside institutions.
The UTHealth Pulmonary and Cardiovascular Pathology Service is committed to advancing the field through continuous education, innovative research, and a steadfast dedication to quality. Our team strives to provide the critical insights needed for effective diagnosis and treatment, ensuring improved outcomes and enhanced quality of life for our patients. Whether dealing with routine biopsies or complex transplant cases, we are dedicated to excellence in pulmonary and cardiovascular pathology.
