Holi 2024 at McGovern Medical School Presented by SAMSA

January 24, 2024

McGovern’s South Asian Medical Association (SAMSA) is hosting Holi on February 17, 2024, from 10 AM-12 PM, and all UTHealth students, staff, and faculty are invited to attend! Family and friends are welcome to join as well. This event will take place on the lawn area in front of the Jesse Jones Library (JJL), 1133 John Freeman Blvd. The link to RSVP for this event will close on January 31st.

Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates the beginning of spring and the victory of good over evil. One motif emphasized in Holi is bright colors, celebrated by throwing colored powder (gently). Although this is a Hindu festival, all are welcome to join the fun! Colored powder, yummy snacks, and music will be provided. We recommend wearing clothes you will not mind getting dirty and stained.
