Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas has named Dr. G. Sealy Massingill as its new chief medical officer.
As CMO, Massingill will oversee clinical staff at health centers in Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Waco, Austin, Corsicana, Paris, Tyler, and surrounding communities. He will also be in charge of managing Planned Parenthood’s direct patient care site at Southwest Fort Worth health center.
Massingill currently is also president of the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Section 2 Chair for District XI of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Previously, he served as president of the Texas Medical Association Foundation and president of the Tarrant County Medical Society Board of Directors.
In a statement, Ken Lambrecht, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas president and CEO, said that Massingill brings “decades of expertise and dedication to the practice of women’s healthcare, along with a distinguished track record of leadership. He will continue to lead our excellent care for patients and provide a respected voice on reproductive health issues in the communities we serve.”
