Important Notes for CDMRP Grant Applications
- Always carefully read the RFA to determine if there are any restrictions, such as no model animal experiments, blinded applications, if the inclusion of a partnering PI is allowed, and specific application document requirements.
- Note that allowable budgets are presented in total costs (direct + indirect costs), therefore a indirect costs from a subaward or for UTHealth will contribute towards the allowable budget (this is unlike typical NIH grants, which consider the direct costs exclusive of subcontract indirect costs).
- Please note that there is no salary caps applied for CDMRP applications. This is of particular importance when considering your study team and effort to be contributed by individual team members.Ā
CDMRP Progress Reports
Please consult your award agreement to determine the frequency of progress reports for your project. Please find at the link below reporting requirements and templates. Your Pre-Award administrator will work with you to prepare the report. PIs are responsible for submitting the reports via eBRAP.

CDMRP No Cost Extensions
If a no cost extension is needed, please reach out to your Pre-Award and Post-Award administrators 60-90 days before the end of the active project period. We will advise what length of extension can be supported by the anticipated carryover funds and what information is needed to submit the request.
Carefully Read the RFA
