Mission
Our mission is to develop highly skilled Advanced Practice Providers who deliver evidence-based, patient-centered, and team-based cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Program Goals
By completion of the fellowship, graduates will be able to:
- Deliver high-quality, specialized care
- Provide efficient and guideline-directed management of cardiovascular disease in ambulatory and inpatient settings
- Manage high-acuity cardiovascular conditions
- Evaluate and treat common and complex conditions including:
- Acute coronary syndromes
- Arrhythmias
- Acute and chronic heart failure
- Cardiogenic shock
- Post-procedural complications
- Develop critical care cardiology competency
- Demonstrate proficiency in ICU-level cardiovascular management including:
- Hemodynamic interpretation
- Mechanical circulatory support concepts
- Escalation pathways for unstable cardiovascular patients
- Practice within interdisciplinary teams
- Communicate effectively with cardiologists, surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Contribute to healthcare quality and safety
- Complete a measurable quality improvement or scholarly project and present a capstone at the end of the fellowship
